Let us introduce you to Jon.

Jon found himself in a tough spot.

He made the brave decision to move to Birmingham and fully committed himself to his recovery journey. He focused on living clean, staying active, and walking daily to maintain his well-being.

Jon’s the lovely guy in the middle.

But Jon wanted more. He wanted to work and build a future for himself. As Standing Tall’s Talent Scout in Birmingham, Joel Webster got to know Jon. Joel saw that Jon had the mindset, resilience, and drive to be a real asset to the right employer.

After passing his CSCS test, we matched Jon with a stable job at M. Lambe Construction. Last week, Jon officially started as a groundworker. He’s thriving.

Jon’s moved in with one of our Amici Hosts too. He’s got a safe place to call home and he gets a pick up to get to work every day. We’ll be standing by his side as he works towards his next goal of moving into his own independent accommodation.

Jon’s journey is a testament to what happens when people are given the chance to prove what they’re capable of - given the right support, belief, and opportunity.
