How a responsible business can play a key role in reducing homelessness

It’s often difficult for a business to know what it can do to give back to the local area and community. Unfortunately, it is all too common seeing someone going through the ordeal of rough sleeping on the streets of Birmingham. At Standing Tall we believe local businesses can play a key role in providing new opportunities for someone who is experiencing homelessness.

Firstly, would you consider working with Standing Tall to support an individual going through tough times and help them get back into work? We will find you the right candidate who is ready to take the opportunity. Standing Tall will employ the individual for the initial period and our team have first hand experience in doing this effectively. You will work alongside the individual and the Standing Tall team for this initial period. Once this is over, we will hand the individual over to you as your employee, where the individual and the business can both continue to thrive together.

But you don’t need to have a job available to help reduce homelessness in Birmingham. Standing Tall is aiming to raise £2000 to contribute to each individual’s salary for the initial 3 month period. As a corporate partner you can make a direct donation towards the salary costs of an individual who has moved themselves off the street.

Standing Tall are really excited about working with local Birmingham businesses, creating opportunities and helping people move away from the street for good. We are all part of the solution, we’d love to get in with you if there’s anything you’d like to explore further.

Many thanks from the team
